eesh. I mowed last night. I figured I had to get it done or I was going to need a bush hog to get it down! It has rained here a lot lately. Some blame it on the fair. Always rain during fair week. This year it rained ALL of fair week. I forgot to put my heel and arch supports in my mowing shoes and I could barely walk afterwards. I won't make that mistake again.
Asher had his eye surgery on Monday. I was EXTREMELY impressed with our experience at Akron Children's hospital. They worked so well with him and made it easier on us. Beth had to take him back on Tuesday morning for follow up and the doctor said that he looked so good that he didn't want to see him until January.
Asher latest thing is stories. He is the Never Ending Story. Yesterday I wasn't sure when he was taking a breath! And they're such creative stories. He's also starting to enjoy puzzles. I'm thankful for that. His major plaything has been his Nascars--and I have to admit I get bored rolling and racing cars. I checked for puzzles at Goodwill, but felt they were somewhat pricey so I'm watching some lots of them on Ebay instead.
Nelson had a disappointing conversation with the BWC attorney. We had hoped to get a decent settlement from his ankle injury. The final amount they offered us wouldn't even cover the price of another surgery. Now we have to hope for no more surgery and continue to struggle at making ends meet.
I guess I won't complain about the rain. At least it's wet and not white!
Nothing is wasted. My life is often messy: sometimes because of choices I've made and sometimes becuase life is just messy at times. No matter how the mess comes, one thing remains true: out of the mess comes my message.

Hey there! I've not been over here in awhile, I like peeking in & seeing an update! :) I bet Asher is a great storyteller! What fun. Sorry that the attorney news is disappointing, I'll join my prayers with yours that Nelson won't need more surgery. :hugs:
